Thanks guys. I think that's true about most sequels, though I can think of a few exceptions off the top of my head: Godfather II, Terminator II, Batman Returns.

If you think you'll enjoy part IV, you'll dig this one. The best bet is to take advantage of the fact you can check it out free on Hulu, that way if you don't like it, it didn't cost you much. I'll be doing part IV sometime next week.

Great review! I missed out on seeing these on Netflix Instant before the new year, I'm glad you got to see them. I had planned on doing them as well but I never got around to it. I do own the 4th one so I might just watch that one alone. The first is classic and I love it. I just remember seeing the trailer for 2 and being really put off by it. Then I read part 2 and 3 were filmed together as one long Toxic Avenger split in 2...so I never had any desire to continue.

But then I hear 4 is balls out awesome...so I think I just need to break down and do this thing.
